NewVA Capital Partners, LP  invests in the NewVa region of Virginia, an exciting area stretching from the Alleghany Highlands through the Roanoke and New River Valleys. They seek long-term capital appreciation through selective investment in rapidly growing, technology based companies.

Several Montgomery County business have received funding through NewVA Capital Partners, including New River Pharmaceuticals, Intrexon and Keraerm.

Fortify VC is a MidAtlantic fund - located in the Washington DC area - for technology startups and active investors with specializations in cyber security, infrastructure, mobile, and enterprise platforms.  Fortify also host Distilled Intelligence - an annual event where the Mid-Atlantic's hottest startups are presented with the opportunity to present to Angel investors and Venture Capital firms in search of deals to invest in.  In 2011 three local companies were selected to pitch, including SheChooses, BlinkMatchApp and Fresh Air - a product of MoGo Mobile.

460 Angels is a seed and early-stage angel investor group focused on funding and coaching hi-tech entrepreneurs with scalable business models based in the New River Valley and Roanoke region of Virginia. 460 Angels seek technology based product companies which can scale to a global marketplace that are led by passionate teams.

Virginia Active Angel Network, VAAN, is a professionally managed club of angel investors who gather for ten dinner meetings from September through July in Charlottesville and Blacksburg/Roanoke, VA. Started in 2005 by a group of University of Virginia alumni, and joined by New Vantage Group of McLean, Virginia, VAAN seeks to bring energy, expertise and entrepreneurs together to create opportunities to invest and network with other like-minded angel investors throughout Virginia.
